Instead of broad restaurant lists or trend-driven recommendation, we structure reviews by the people’s choices—starting from the most notoriously delicious, well, at least as they say.

If you’re in Singapore and you want a direct, no-frills, and just plain honest friend pointing you where to go to eat, you’re in very good hands and will surely be happy with a fully belly.

How It Started

In Singapore, the hungry only ask their fellow foodies the same line of questions:

“Do you know somewhere good to eat?”

“Is that place overhyped?”

“Can we eat somewhere simple but crazily good?”

Most food sites strive to answer this question but seldom do they really get to the gritty details. They often call on the ‘hidden gems’ or ‘staples’ of Singapore and that’s the review, but we saw a missing piece in that. We wanted the authenticity. The average diner isn’t looking for taste notes. They want portion size, after-eating effects, taste fatigue factor, and other facets of a meal that goes beyond the dish itself.

We built Influencer Foodie to share those other missing details so you can grab a meal recommended by us with little hesitation of what to expect.

Ally oversees the publishing of reviews and other organizational tasks of the brand.

Every review is cross-checked for its strength in content, adherence to authenticity, and adaptation to the establishment’s reputation.

Her focus: Answer the question of whether you will be influenced or de-influenced from eating at food spots.

Reed Tan

Co-Founder & Research Lead

Reed stays up-to-date with Singapore’s iconic restaurants or hawker stalls while also researching on up-and-coming spots.

He pays particular attention to establishments that pride themselves on their established culinary heritage as well as artisanal cooking from different regions of the country.
